Schematic Editor

I am creating a schematic in Micro-Cap. I want to add a part that doesn't exist in your library. I am not interested in simulating this circuit, so I don't need a model for it. I just want it available for schematic capture.

The way to do this is to go into the Shape Editor under the Windows menu and create an appropriate shape for the component. Next go to the Component Editor under the Windows menu. Choose the group that you would like to place the part within by highlighting the group name and click on the Add Component button. For Name, enter the name that you would like to call it. For Shape, enter the shape name that was just created in the Shape Editor or use a previously existing shape. For definition, enter 'Blank'. Close the Component Editor and choose save. That component will now be available in the Component Editor for use in the schematic. The definition 'Blank' means that there is no electrical model for the component.
