Many manufacturers now provide interface models in IBIS format,
a kind of behavioral modeling language that describes the I/O
pin interface in terms of impedance and timing. Micro-Cap translates
these IBIS models into useable SPICE models which accurately reproduce
the calibration waveforms (Golden Waveforms). The increased accuracy
of the buffer models greatly simplifies board testing.
IBIS components simplify selection and testing of IBIS modeled parts.
