In this type of analysis, which is new in MC12, you run a transient analysis with real
operating conditions. Smoke then determines if any maximum operating value (MOV) has
been exceeded and draws a series of colored bars to indicate the severity.
Smoke maximum parameters are specified for each of the important conditions.
For example, an NPN has a smoke parameter, PDM for the maximum power dissipation and
IC for the maximum collector current and eleven other parameters for maximum values
of base current, emitter current, and collector-emitter voltage and others.
