Confirming/discarding the input
The behavior of the editors depends on whether the values were entered
in the insert or in the overwrite mode:
- If only the overwrite mode was used to define the
input value no confirmation is necessary. The input value is valid as
soon as another softkey or hotkey is pressed.
- If the insert mode is used, or if it was used before
swapping over to the overwrite mode, the input must be confirmed with
the ENTER key or by pressing the rotary knob. By pressing ESCAPE
or another softkey, the input will be discarded and the previous value
restored.
If the number entered conflicts with the resolution of the CMU, it will
be rounded to the maximum number of digits allowed.
